Learn Direct
Learndirect is a Government organisation set up to provide basic skills training and high quality learning opportunities for people over the age of 16. They offer around 630 courses covering a range of subjects, including management, IT and Skills for Life at all levels.
It is a fact that 5 million adults in the UK have a reading age of 11 or less. BrightHouse is working to become a key referrer for Learndirect, and is currently trialling a scheme allowing Learndirect in-store access to customers. In a pilot project across 5 stores in the Midlands, we hope that we can give customers a second chance to gain key qualifications and life skills that they may have missed out on, earlier in life. |
