Community involvement

BrightHouse stores are located in high streets across the UK. We endeavour to be “a good neighbour” in positively exercising our responsibilities towards the wider community.

NSPCC

We listened to our people when selecting a charity enabling us to give something back to the communities we serve. We are proud to be associated with the NSPCC and their ChildLine service in Scotland.  The NSPCC exists to end cruelty to children in the UK by fighting for their rights, listening to them, helping them and making them safe.

BrightHouse has raised £220k in our two year relationship with the NSPCC and ChildLine. Our colleagues enthusiastically donate their time and energy carrying out activities such as:

• 67 stores working together and participating in a bike rally travelling some 900 miles between stores
• the Three Peak Challenge
• sky diving
• the London Marathon 2011
• head shaving and body waxing
• diving with sharks!

We also appreciate the generous donations given by our customers to the NSPCC and ChildLine

Retail Trust

We are also a supporter and active participant in Retail Trust fundraising. Retail Trust is a national charity, which offers a confidential helpline, financial assistance and other practical help and support. It looks after employees and former employees of the UK retail industry. BrightHouse is a supportive and active participant in Retail Trust fundraising.

As a charity, we rely on continued support from companies such as BrightHouse. SportsAid

In the third year of our relationship with SportsAid, BrightHouse is proud to sponsor three young athletes with ambitions to enter the professional sports arena and, eventually, the Olympics.

These young athletes are an inspiration to our colleagues throughout the business, exhibiting a will and determination to succeed.
